Warranty Claim Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the process and eligibility for making a warranty claim with Vortex Lithium, a lithium battery manufacturer based in Pakistan. Any failure to adhere to the terms outlined below will result in the immediate and absolute voiding of the warranty, and Vortex Lithium will not be obligated to honor the claim.
1. Scope of Limited Warranty
-
1.1 Product Coverage: This limited warranty applies solely to the specific lithium-ion or lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery product manufactured by Vortex Lithium and sold directly by Vortex Lithium or an authorized distributor. The warranty duration is as specified in the official Product Warranty Certificate provided at the time of purchase.
-
1.2 Covered Defects: The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions, resulting in the failure of the product to meet its published specifications (e.g., capacity retention, voltage stability).
-
1.3 Exclusions: This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover accessories, separate system components (e.g., inverters, chargers not supplied by Vortex Lithium), or software.
2. Warranty Claim Submission Procedure
-
2.1 Notification: The customer must notify Vortex Lithium of a potential warranty claim in writing (via email or whatsapp) within fourteen (14) days of the defect or failure becoming apparent.
-
2.2 Required Information: The notification must include:
-
Original Purchase Invoice/Receipt.
-
Official Product Warranty Certificate.
-
Detailed description of the defect or failure symptoms.
-
Documentation (photos, videos, or system logs) demonstrating the failure.
-
-
2.3 Return Authorization: No product shall be returned to Vortex Lithium without a written Return Material Authorization (RMA) number issued by Vortex Lithium’s Technical Support team. Products returned without a valid RMA number will be rejected and the warranty claim denied.
3. Mandatory Installation and Operating Conditions
The following conditions are mandatory. Violation of any point listed in this section will automatically and immediately void the entire product warranty.
-
3.1 Custom Specification Adherence: The battery must only be used for the specific application (e.g., solar inverter, EV, electronics) for which it was custom-designed and specified by Vortex Lithium. Using the battery in an unauthorized application will void the warranty.
-
3.2 Environmental Limits: The battery must be installed and operated within the specified environmental conditions, including but not limited to:
-
Temperature Range: Operation and charging temperatures must strictly adhere to the limits defined in the battery’s technical data sheet.
-
Humidity: Installation must be in a non-condensing, well-ventilated area, free from corrosive substances.
-
-
3.3 Approved Charging/Discharging Parameters: The battery must only be charged and discharged using the voltage, current, and maximum/minimum Depth of Discharge (DoD) parameters specified by Vortex Lithium’s technical documentation. Use of unauthorized or non-compatible chargers/inverters will void the warranty.
-
3.4 BMS Integrity: The Battery Management System (BMS) supplied with the product must not be bypassed, opened, modified, or tampered with by any unauthorized person. Any attempt to access or change the BMS settings without written consent from Vortex Lithium will void the warranty.
4. Warranty Exclusions (Voiding Conditions)
The warranty shall be immediately VOIDED if, upon inspection by Vortex Lithium, the claimed defect or failure is found to be a result of any of the following:
-
4.1 Misuse and Abuse: Negligence, accident, physical damage, exposure to fire or water, or use contrary to the instructions in the battery’s user manual.
-
4.2 Improper Installation: Incorrect wiring, reverse polarity connection, improper torque on terminals, or failure to secure the battery properly.
-
4.3 Unauthorized Repairs/Modifications: Repair or attempted repair, alteration, disassembly, or modification of the battery pack, cell, or components by anyone other than Vortex Lithium authorized personnel.
-
4.4 External Factors: Damage caused by forces beyond Vortex Lithium’s control, including but not limited to: lightning strikes, earthquakes, natural disasters, power surges, or pest infestation.
-
4.5 Insufficient Maintenance: Failure to perform routine maintenance or checks, such as periodic cleaning of terminals or ensuring ventilation, as required by the user manual.
5. Inspection, Remedy, and Cost
-
5.1 Inspection: Upon receipt of the returned product, Vortex Lithium will conduct a full technical inspection. The determination of whether the defect is covered under this warranty rests solely with Vortex Lithium.
-
5.2 Voiding Confirmation: If the inspection reveals that the product failure is due to a violation of the terms in Section 3 or Section 4, the warranty will be declared VOID, and the customer will be notified.
-
5.3 Covered Remedy: If the defect is deemed covered, Vortex Lithium’s sole and exclusive obligation under this warranty is, at its option, to:
-
Repair the defective product.
-
Replace the defective product with a new or reconditioned unit.
-
Issue a credit for the purchase price.
-
-
5.4 Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for all costs associated with shipping the defective product to Vortex Lithium’s facility in Pakistan. If the claim is validated, Vortex Lithium will bear the cost of returning the repaired or replacement unit to the customer. If the warranty is voided, the customer must arrange and pay for the return shipment of the unit.
